In spring/summer 2024, the Village oversaw plans to improve Brumley Drive, located between Sterling Avenue and Bruce Avenue, in Old Flossmoor. The east end of the street (Perth Avenue to Sterling Avenue) was resurfaced; the western end (Perth Avenue to Bruce Avenue) was completely rebuilt; and a large-scale storm sewer was added during this project. The storm sewer system’s capacity was upgraded at the roadway’s sag point near 703 Bruce / 704 Argyle, protecting the roadway, driveways, and the newly planted sod. Concrete curbs, sidewalks and driveways were updated; parkway sod has been restored. New tress will be planted fall 2024.
