Round button that links to a page with environmental resources The Flossmoor Green Commission was established in 2017; it is made up of 9 members, plus a staff liaison and a H-F High School representative. The Commission is charged to examine and — where appropriate — recommend locally feasible, Flossmoor-specific programs for Village resident education and participation on activities and practices that promote environmental awareness and behavior by residents in an effort to promote an environmentally conscientious community at the household level.

  • H-F Community Cleanup Day: April 4 — The Village of Flossmoor, Village of Homewood, and the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District are teaming up to make H-F even more beautiful, and we want YOU to be part of it! Kick off the morning with breakfast on us at Wiley’s Grill, then grab your family, friends, and neighbors and help clean up around Homewood and Flossmoor.
  • Recyclepalooza: April 25 - Bring your hard-to-recycle items from your spring clean out to Parker Jr. High for responsible recycling.
  • Tree Planting: Oct. 17 - Help plant trees all around Flossmoor with the Public Works crew!
  • Pumpkin Smash: Nov. 7 - Keep your Halloween pumpkins and gourd out of landfills by bringing them to Coyote Run Golf Course.
