Prohibited Locations
It is illegal to carry a concealed weapon in the following locations, but not limited to:
- Bars (and any restaurant deriving more than half of its profits from alcohol)
- Colleges and Universities
- Courthouses
- Government buildings
- Public playgrounds
- Libraries
- Museums
- Permitted public gatherings, such as festivals or parades
- Public parks
- Public transportation
- Schools and child care facilities
- Stadiums
- Zoos

Concealed Carry Signage
The owner of private real property of any type may prohibit the carrying of concealed firearms on the property under his or her control.The owner must post a sign stating that carrying of firearms is prohibited and it shall be clearly and conspicuously posted at the entrance of a building, premises, or real property.
Signs shall be of uniform design that has been approved by the State of Illinois and shall be 4 inches by 6 inches in size. The approved 4 inch by 6 inch sign is available for download, or authorized "No Weapons Allowed" signs and window clings are available free of charge at the Flossmoor Police Department.
