Celebrate the Season in Flossmoor

Thank you for all who joined the Village of Flossmoor during the 2022 holiday tree lighting on Saturday. If you weren't able to join us, don't fret, festivities continue throughout the month of December, starting with the Flossmoor Business Association's Downtown Flossmoor Holiday Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 1. The Flossmoor Commons Holiday Open House will also take place from 5 to 7 p.m. but on Thursday, December 8.

Janet Gustafson's annual Gingerbread House Tours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, so be sure to register! Looking something special for the kids to enjoy? Stop by the Flossmoor Public Library for the Christmas Music Show featuring Nanny Nikki at 11 a.m. on December 10. The Holiday Lights Parade also returns this year starting at 4:30 p..m. on Thursday, December 15. Thanks to the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District, there will be two viewing locations to enjoy the parade at Heather Hill school and Flossmoor Park. Don't forget to grab your copy of the 2022 Flossmoor Winter Bucket List and check off all the fun activities you enjoy this winter season!

Lastly, be sure to join Mayor Michelle Nelson and area residents at 5 p.m., December 18 to December 26 for the nightly lighting of the Menorah in celebration of Hanukkah and 5 p.m. from December 26 to January 1, 2023 for the lighting of the Kinara in celebration of Kwanzaa. All are welcome to join in the celebrations!
