Louis Thompson, Pharmacist

Louis Thompson spent more than 30 years as a licensed pharmacist, 31 of those years with the Walgreens Corporation, before welcoming retirement in February 2022.

During the final few years of his career, Thompson explored different pharmaceutical opportunities, including spending a whole year distributing COVID-19 vaccinations with Walmart Pharmacy and another year as a mail-order pharmacist.

Thompson graduated with honors from Cornell College of Iowa and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy. Thompson and his wife of 28 years reside in Flossmoor and have two children, Louis Jr., 27, and Courtney, 26.
