Seena Purham, Instructional Technology/Stem Coordinator

Seena Purham, Instructional Technology/STEM Coordinator for Elementary School District 159, has earned significant praise from peers and professionals during the course of her career, resulting in several awards and honors.

As an educator, Purham has been awarded Teacher of the Year, received the Master Teacher designation for the Field of STEM, has held the title of Scholastic Science World Advisor for four consecutive years, and served as the project manager for a hydroponics gardening program for District 159. The resulting program will provide agricultural education to more than 1,500 students in the Chicago southland.

Prior to being named Technology and STEM Coordinator for District 159, Purham spent eight years as a science teacher at the Chicago International Charter School Loomis-Longwood, the final three years of which with the Master Teacher designation. Purham earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from the Relay Graduate School of Education.
