Flossmoor Black History Month

Black History Month 2023

Each year, the Village features residents, professionals and businesses making history today in celebration of Black History Month. This year, the Flossmoor Community Relations Commission is interested in highlighting STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) leaders and innovators. During the month of February, we will profile 12 STEM professionals across varying specialties including medicine, engineering, research and development, technology, and education.

Check out our Black History Month profiles below and get to know the extraordinary individuals who live and work in Flossmoor! Also be sure to check out the history of the Pan African Flag to learn why Flossmoor proudly flies these flags in our Downtown during Black History Month!
